Primary 1 and Primary 2/1 really enjoyed their visit from PC Kenny. He came to visit us as part of our People Who Help Us topic. He showed us all the equipment he has to keep himself and us safe. We even got to say hello over the radio. We had lots of fun!

SSPCA Infant Assembly
Primaries 1, 2 and 3 all enjoyed their visit from the SSPCA. They participated in a very interesting and enjoyable assembly. Well Done!

Water, Water Everywhere, Try to Save it if YOU Care
Today, we were learning about how to save water. We learned lots of new interesting facts that we did not know before. We made some posters on different ways you can save water in your every day life. We had a lot of fun during this experience and will now be more concious of wasting water. We hope our posters encourage people to save water too.

Transition Day for Nursery Children
Today, Richard Harris, our Active Schools Co-ordinator come to the school to deliver today’s Transition session. The children took part some games and activities with other children who are going to be in Primary 1 in August.
Primary 6/5 Manifesto Presentations
After gathering the most important issues for their political parties, Primary 6/5 wrote and then presented their manifestos to the rest of the class. They then took a vote to decide upon a winner. The Scottish Lions won the most votes.
Fire Brigade Visit
Primary 1 and Primary 2/1 had a very entertaining afternoon when Cumbernauld Fire Brigade came to St Michael’s. The children were able to go inside the fire engine and had great fun playing with the hose! What an exciting afternoon learning about People Who Help Us.
