ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
During these weeks, when there are a number of shorter weeks due to holiday weekends, I encourage you to ensure that your child or children attend school every day possible. Sometimes, the temptation can be to keep them off because it is a short week. This week is a prime example of that! Monday holiday and Thursday INSET may be a reason for your child not to attend on Friday. As you know, however, we are trying to INCREASE our overall attendance and every day, indeed every MINUTE counts at school!
Remember that our 20th Birthday Bash takes place on Friday, with the fun starting at 9am!

20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS – Wednesday 5th May
We have been advertising a Save the Date for our Mass with Bishop Toal, which takes place tomorrow at 1:45pm in school. You are warmly invited to come along and join us. Please click HERE to let us know you intend to join us, so that we can have enough chairs available! Can I ask that all children wear their full school uniform tomorrow? Even if it is their PE day. It is fitting that, for our special occasion, we look our best and show our school in it’s best light! We are looking forward to welcoming a host of guests from North Lanarkshire Council, our local schools, former pupils, partner agencies and charities and, of course our former staff. As mentioned, you are more than welcome to join us. Please complete the link to let us know you are coming along, so that we have enough chairs!
Please note: Our office staff will be attending the Mass and so the office will be closed from 1:45pm.
There may be a slight delay in dismissal at the end of the day, so please bare with us.
PARKING & POTENTIAL ISSUES AT 3PM DISMISSAL
Due to the high volume of people attending tomorrow’s Mass, I have asked that the staff park in the church car park. Many guests for tomorrow’s Mass will be driving. Perhaps you could also consider parking in the church and walking round to collect your child? It is a very short distance and it would be very helpful! Please support us if you can.
FRIDAY 8TH MAY – 20TH BIRTHDAY BASH
There is NO CHARGE for any of our activities on Friday. Please just note the following:
- Non uniform day
- Silent Disco (children attend in class groups starting from 9:15am)
- Children’s Entertainer (9:30am – 10:30am & 11:15am – 12:15pm) for P1-3 and P4-7
- Outdoor Assault Course
- We will also have some Birthday Cake
