Our boys and girls have had a brilliant first full week back at school and I am sure that they will all have slept well on Friday evening!
Thank you again for supporting our uniform policy and it really makes such a difference! We are still waiting for our P7 ties and as soon as they arrive in school, they will be distributed to our wonderful Primary 7’s. House Captains have been decided and please see our newsletter for the names of our fantastic boys and girls who will be leading the 4 houses in the school. Huge congratulations to them. They will receive their Captain’s badges during Wednesday’s assembly.
Again, it is wonderful to see our youngest pupils so well supported in the mornings, especially in the first few days of starting school, however, can I ask that all parents to not enter the playground in the mornings please. Thank you in advance for your support with this important request.
Thank you to our parent helpers who supervised our children on the walk to Church to celebrate St Bartholomew’s day at 10 o’clock mass. The children were a credit to us, themselves and their families. The children thoroughly enjoyed their ice cream’s as part of our St Bartholomew’s day celebrations.
We will be reverting back to weekly mass attendance on a Wednesday mornings and as always, ask for your continued support to supervise children on the walk to and from Church. Thank you in advance.

Welcome back!
A huge welcome back to all our wonderful pupils, parents and staff. I hope that you have all enjoyed some rest and relaxation over the Summer holidays.
Our boys and girls look fantastic in their very smart uniforms and I would like to thank parents and carers for their support with this. It makes such a difference to the children and creates such a positive environment for their learning. Just a reminder that we have a wide variety of school uniform items in our school for the benefit of all of our boys and girls. Please phone the office to make a discreet visit to help yourself to whatever your child may need.
Mr Bradley, our Gaelic football coach has offered us a number of opportunities for our Primary 5 – 7 pupils. Yoga classes on a Monday morning will start up week beginning 26th August and will be a lovely relaxing start to the day and week. I’m sure our P7 pupils will appreciate it, as will their teacher!
Our Primary 6 pupils can look forward to Gaelic football coaching on a Friday morning, first thing in the morning and then music tuition after break. What wonderful opportunities! We all look forward to seeing their talents and skills in both areas flourish.
Mr Bradley is also suggesting an after school Gaelic football club for our P5 pupils. Fingers crossed that works out and our pupils will begin learning new skills in sport.
I will be meeting with our Education Psychologist this week and also our AFA to ensure needs are met. I look forward to planning for the needs of our pupils in both a wellbeing and financial sense.
A huge thank you to our dedicated and wonderful staff. We all appreciate everything that they do for our pupils in order for them to flourish and reach their full potential. We couldn’t do it without them. Thank you.
