Primary 5 Home Learning 27th April 2020

Hi Everyone
Hope you are all still well and happy. It was lovely to be back last week and speak to so many of my lovely class members as I am missing every one of you so much.
This week the Home Learning grid will be available on the website and by glow email as normal but from next week our school is moving onto Microsoft Teams. There is information on the webpage about how to access Teams and I have added all of my children to a Primary 5 Team. You will receive an email with more info on this in the week ahead.
For now please find the Home Learning grid attached and any required workbook pages.
Please email if you need anything at all, very warmest wishes and healthy vibes to you!

Primary 3 Home Learning – Term 4, Week 2

Dear Parents,

We hope you and your children are well. We are missing everyone so much! Hopefully, you have been able to enjoy some of the sunny weather at the weekend.

This week, P3 pupils are making the move over to Microsoft Teams on GLOW. What this means for you is that activities and resources will now be stored in one central location and you will no longer need to trawl through emails trying to find the various set tasks. We will be using Microsoft Teams for the remainder of the academic year.

We have attached a guide to access Microsoft Teams through GLOW below.  Alternatively, you can download the Microsoft Teams app straight to your device.

Please note that any worksheets that have been shared have been chosen with the awareness that many people will not have a printer at home. The intention is for your child to copy and complete the work in their relevant jotters or on paper, whatever is most relevant for each task.

Please also note that your child should still work through and complete their home learning pack from March before moving on to these new learning tasks.

Please do let us know if you need any further support. We will be in touch with you all throughout the week.

Kind regards and sending lots of love,

Mrs. Mori & Mrs. Schammas

P1-2 Home Learning Opportunities

Hello all,

I hope you had a calm, joyful break.  Here is a copy of some activities that can be completed with minimal resources at home. In the first instance children should work though the activities sent home before school broke up.  Many of these tasks can be repeated to build depth and confidence.  I will upload additional resources as they become relevant.

P7 Home Learning Activities – Term 4, Week 1

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely Easter break and enjoyed the sunshine as much as possible. This certainly isn’t the Term 4 we had hoped for or anticipated – but together we will get through it like we always do!

I have attached a suggested timetable for this week including group spelling words and all activity worksheets you will need to complete tasks (Spanish Hail Mary is in picture below).

P7 pupils, can I ask if you have not already been in contact with me via Glow to please do so asap – I am sending you all something for your Pope Francis Faith Award this week which I would like you to look out for and return to me via Glow once you have completed the task.

Finally, I am missing you all very much and hope you and your families are staying safe and well at home.

Take care,

Miss Coyle.

Primary 6 Home learning Term 4 Week 4 GLOW instructions

Hello everyone,
We hope you all managed to have a lovely Easter and ate lots of chocolate 🙂
From this week, work will be available on Microsoft Teams, this can be found on your Launch Pad, so instead of Outlook you click on Microsoft Teams. Please see the attached document with step by step instructions on how to access the work. We are also able to communicate through the posts.
We will also put the instructions onto the school website.
A little tip is… open the folders and save them onto your devise or print if you have a printer. This should save the access to GLOW problems, you can work on this without being on the GLOW system.
Please let me know if you have any problems and remember these are suggested activities and for you to choose to do when it suits. 🙂
Take care Mrs McPhilemy and Mrs Schammas

PRIMARY 3: TERM 4, WEEK 1 – HOME LEARNING SCHEDULE

Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope you are well and have had a lovely Easter break. Please see below the suggested weekly learning schedule for Week 1 of Term 4 for Primary 3 pupils.

This week may seem quite full on as I am asking you to sign-up for a few new resources (EPIC! Books, Charanga Music, Twinkl Resources etc.). This is to ensure that we can continue the continuity of your child’s learning at home in the most successful, yet simplified way. Once you have signed up for these new resources, you will notice a regular weekly routine developing. My aim is to ensure that your parental/carer home schooling workload is reduced as far as possible given the circumstances, whilst maintaining targeted and specific educational opportunities for your child. Once your child is up and running with these programmes, the next few weeks should be quite straightforward as they will come to know what is expected of them each day.

In addition, rather than having lots of resources in different places (i.e. some on the school website, some in GLOW), I am streamlining everything for ease of use and accessibility. Therefore, all resources will now be found in your child’s GLOW email account with the exception of the weekly learning schedule which I will post to the school website every Sunday evening.

Currently, in your child’s GLOW email account you should find the following emails:

  • An invitation to join EPIC! Books for Kids
  • An email detailing weekly spelling tasks
  • An email with your child’s individualised spelling word list for the week
  • An email containing the Religious Education resources for this week
  • An email containing the Scavenger Hunt resources for this week
  • An invitation to join Charanga Yumu Music Program
  • An additional copy of the Weekly Learning Schedule

Your child should also continue to work through any resources that they received in their home pack in March – the priority is that the work in this home pack is completed first, particularly the maths and literacy work.

As always, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions or require any support.

Kind regards,

Mrs. Mori
