Our Lady’s School Improvement Priorities 2023-24
Priority 1 – Learning and Teaching
- Consistently high learning and teaching experiences for young people based on the OLHS teaching framework.
- Increased opportunities for young people to lead learning.
- Young people will experience appropriate challenge and pace in lessons planned to meet their needs.
- Increased use of digital strategies to enhance learning.
Priority 2 – Raising Attainment and Achievement
- Development of new OLHS raising attainment strategy, calendar and policy.
- Increase in the number of young people achieving 5 National 5s in S4.
- Increase in the number of young people achieving 1 Higher in S5.
- Reduction the poverty related attainment gap in literacy and numeracy.
- Increase in the effective use of data to raise attainment.
- Development of a whole school OLHS tracker.
Priority 3 – Health and Wellbeing
- Improved use of all GIRFEC procedures and policies.
- Improvement in pupil attendance, in all stages.
- All pupils with a barrier to learning will benefit from a wellbeing assessment and targeted intervention.
Priority 4 – Self Evaluation
- Development of a new whole school/faculty self-evaluation policy.
- Development of new whole school/faculty self-evaluation calendar.
- Increased opportunities for staff, parents/carers and pupils to be involved in self-evaluation and school improvement planning.
