Roles and Responsibilities

School Captain

  • Set an excellent example to all students in terms of uniformwork ethic and contribution to school life.
  • Lead assemblies
  • Liaise with staff to organise/run whole school events
  • Attend and contribute to Pupil Council meetings
  • Attend and contribute to Parent Council meetings
  • Support S1 pupils
  • Inspire and motivate other students
  • Meet and greet parents and visitors
  • Represent the school at various events throughout the year
  • Contribute to and support the liturgical life of the school
  • Supervise at break and lunch based on a rota
  • Meet with HT and DHT throughout the year
  • Lead S6 committee
  • Attendance at Parents’ Evenings / Information Evenings if required
  • Represent pupils on whole school committees

House Captain

  • Lead House assemblies
  • Organise and chair Pupil Council meetings, including setting the agenda and organising minutes

  • Lead S6 committee
  • Update the House notice board
  • Monitor prefect duties, including organising the interval and lunchtime rota
  • Attendance at Parents’ Evenings / Information Evenings if required
