Support for Learning: Literacy SupportFor pupils who attend Read, Write Inc lessons in S1 and S2: Every day, Ruth Miskin Training shares three short Speed Sound lessons via YouTube for children to watch at home with their parents, Monday–Friday. The lessons cover sets 1, 2, and 3. If you are unsure where to start, begin at the start of Set 2 sounds (if your child is struggling go back and start with Set 1). A wealth of films and resources are also available to help parents support their children during this time. For pupils who use IDL Software (Indirect Dyslexia Learning) in S1 and S2: In order to support parents using IDL at home with their child there is a 30 minute online demonstration for anyone who needs assistance.
