European Day of Languages
During the week beginning 26 September pupils in Modern Languages celebrated the European Day of Languages.
Pupils from S1-S6 were involved in a superb range of fun activities including Eurovision Song Contests, Euroquizzes and a Europe project for S1. In addition our Senior pupils enjoyed a cultural afternoon watching French and Spanish films involving Spanish Civil War, life in Columbia and la gastronomie! Our Chinese pupils even joined in with our celebrations and looked at the European countries in Mandarin!
This was a great opportunity to discuss with pupils the importance of language learning and its many benefits particularly in the world of work. A great week was had by pupils and staff!
