The following is a link to Newmains Primary School’s Relationship Policy. Our relationship policy is guided by current research and we believe that it suits our nurturing and trauma informed approach.
The Relationship Policy outlines the different ways we build positive relationships and help children learn to regulate their emotions. We find that well-regulated children are able to concentrate and work to their full potential and socialise well with other children. We also believe that children who struggle to regulate their emotions need our support to learn how to manage their emotions, much in the same way we would help them with literacy or numeracy.
