Broad General Education S1-S3
At Early level, students draw and build structures, explore materials and learn about different ways of joining them.
At First level, students develop skills in using common tools and creating images of technological items, designing and building products using kits and a range of craft materials.
At Second level, students will have an increasing awareness of the materials and structures in their school and homes. They will develop skills in recognising and solving problems, applying design, graphic engineering and craft skills.
At Third level, students will recognise the capacity of design, craft and engineering skills to address local and wider environmental, social and economic challenges, bringing a comprehensive range of technological skills and knowledge to bear.
At Fourth level, students demonstrate confidence in relating their own increasing skills in craft, design, engineering and graphics. They can apply those skills where necessary for real-world application and the world of work, contributing innovative ideas to technological considerations and projects.

Personal Achievement Award National 1/2
This course will allow students to have the opportunity to participate in a range of new and familiar activities, and to experience and contribute to their community across a range of social contexts.
The main aims of the Award are to enable learners to develop:
-skills to support them to work towards independence
-an ability to work with others
-communication skills
-thinking skills
-knowledge and understanding of the context chosen for study
Practical Craft skills N1-3
This course provides opportunities for learners to develop practical skills in using a range of tools, equipment and materials, and to apply skills and knowledge to a range of practical tasks. Learners will develop skills in working with drawings and diagrams, measuring and marking out, as well as cutting, adapting and finishing materials to produce items to a given standard and for a given purpose.
The aims of the Course are to enable learners to:
–identify a range of tools and equipment used in craftwork
-identify a range of common materials used in craftwork
-select and use tools, equipment and common materials appropriately in a working environment
-use skills and knowledge to produce craftwork items
-use media and technology as part of the production process
