Social Subjects

Welcome to the Social Subjects Department

There are many different reasons to study social subjects. Social subjects provides the opportunity to study a fantastic combination of topics which help young people develop an understanding of the world in which they live.

As they mature, young people’s experiences will be broadened using Scottish, British, European and wider contexts for learning, while maintaining a focus on the historical, social, geographical, economic and political changes that have shaped Scotland.
