           2019 -20 DofE Groups

This year, we have 4 groups participating in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, 3 Bronze and 1 Silver, led by Mrs Hall and Mr Campbell.

3.1 and 3.2 are working on the Bronze Award with Mrs Hall to complete their Physical and Volunteering Sections, as well as their Expedition training. They also work with other specialist teachers one period per week to complete the Skills section, developing a skill of their choice from British Sign Language, Rookie Lifeguard or Model Making.

S4 are working on their Bronze Award over S4 and S5 and will complete all Sections with Mrs Hall. They have just completed their Physical Section following a very successful Athletics programme run by volunteer Pat Kelly, a coach with Law and District Athletics Club. The group are now beginning their Volunteering Section, leading activities on a weekly basis for residents in a local sheltered  housing complex.

S5 are in the second year of the Silver Award and will complete their Volunteering Section, as well as their Expedition training with Mr Campbell.

Enjoy this slideshow showing just some of the activities our groups have been involved in this year. More information on each of the groups’ activities, along with photos, can be found on our school app.
