One of the activities that P3 enjoyed today was writing a letter to someone in the class to tell them what they do to make them feel happy. The children enjoyed a very interesting visit from Mrs Zokas today as part of our People Who Help Us topic. She told the children a little about the organisation ‘Maggie’s’ which she works for and all about the wonderful fundraising work she does for them. Primary 4 had terrific time on Tuesday at our parent open event using their shield design prototypes to create their final design. 🛡 They also enjoyed the opportunity to use the Viking alphabet to create personalised Viking necklaces. Great job P4!✅
Today Primary 3 brought in a push or a pull toy from home to sort. We realised that lots of our toys use push and pull forces to move in different directions or a different way. We had great discussion sorting some pictures of everyday tasks into whether they are a push or a pull. Some of us still argued that they could be both! We couldn’t prove them wrong.
P5 have been working hard at home preparing their Solo Talks on Robert Owen. The children have been presenting their work this week and we have been learning all about this interesting man in time for our class trip to New Lanark next week! Great work everyone!
P5 enjoyed a rugby taster session delivered by coaches from Uddingston Rugby Club. They learned new skills and had a lot of fun at the same time!
Today we invited Mrs McGown to come to our class and tell us all about her job and how she helps people. She has been a janitor in our school for 19 years and the children couldn’t believe all the things that she does every day to keep everyone safe and happy.
