P6 Uddingston Grammar Library Visit

It’s all go in Primary 6 at the moment.  We spent the morning at Uddingston Grammar with a P6 class from Newton Farm Primary learning how to access information in the library using: the Dewey System, posters, encyclopaedias… and in the afternoon back at school we have our  hockey 🏑 coach. P6 Science Centre

  Friday was a super busy day at the Science Centre for P6.  It was the launch of  our Clyde in the Classroom topic  where we learned how to care for our fish.  There was also some time to visit the different floors and explore the different activities.

P5 Visit New Lanarkshire Mosque

Primary 5 recently enjoyed a trip to New Lanarkshire Mosque. They were given a tour by the Imam to allow them to put their learning in a real life context.  They also learned about the 5 pillars of Islam and particularly enjoyed their juice and crisps at the end! P1 and 2 Trip to Almond Valley

Pupils in Primary 1 and 2 enjoyed visiting Almond Valley Heritage Park in Livingston on Tuesday.  They saw lots of farm animals and even got to handle a lionhead rabbit, 2 guinea pigs and a pole cat called Shenanigans!  We enjoyed going on our train ride and having a picnic lunch.  The weather was good to us with the sun shining in the afternoon and so everyone got to enjoy

P3/6 School Trip

Today we had a great trip out to Sealife at Loch Lomond Shores. Primary 6 participated in a ‘Food Chain’ workshop learning what would happen to sea creatures if there was a break in the link of the food chain. To demonstrate this we were asked to be different creatures. You may not know it but you are looking at plankton, crabs, sharks…!
