P5 have been enjoying hockey lessons delivered by a coach from the local hockey club. They are playing fun games including ‘King of the ring’ and ‘Freeze,’ If you would like to know how to play these games, please ask one of our P5’s. 🙂
P5 had a very busy week. They worked in small groups to design, resource and make Easter Bonnets. Their success criteria for the task was to work cooperatively in their groups and make sure they all took an equal part in the design and in making the bonnet. The children worked very hard and put together some marvellous creations!!! Fantastic work P5 😀👍🎩🐤🐣🐥🦋🐰
P5 have been working in small groups to research different special diets. Four different diets were studied: Vegetarian, Halal, Celiac and Diabetes. Pupils had to prepare information posters and present their findings to the class. Children had to listen carefully to the facts for the three diets they had not researched and they had to record any new facts they learned. Great work P5!
P5 had an action packed day today at New Lanark! Their tour guide, Leslie, was super impressed with how much knowledge the children already had about life in the past at New Lanark. They were able to see the cramped living conditions people lived in and experience exactly what school was like through a brilliant role play session. P5 have been working hard at home preparing their Solo Talks on Robert Owen. The children have been presenting their work this week and we have been learning all about this interesting man in time for our class trip to New Lanark next week! Great work everyone!
P5 enjoyed a rugby taster session delivered by coaches from Uddingston Rugby Club. They learned new skills and had a lot of fun at the same time!
P5 have been very busy making cards for their loved ones containing nice Valentine’s Day messages. They were very excited to use shiny card. Here they are hard at work 😃
Primary 5 have enjoyed progressing their ‘mirror, match and in canon’ movements onto the apparatus. They worked with a partner on different pieces of equipment to show a variety of balances and skills. The wall bars were certainly popular!! Well done children 🙂
This morning P5 started a new gymnastics block in P.E. They worked with a partner to match and mirror each other’s actions and movements. They then worked in small groups to perform movements in canon ~ one at a time. Next week they will progress to using these 3 techniques on the apparatus. Great work P5!
P4 & 5 had a fantastic time at their Christmas party. They danced, played games and enjoyed some snacks. They all looked fabulous! Well done to those who won games and thank you to Scott and Zak from P7 for being our super DJ’s.
