P1/2 Budding little gardeners 🍃

P1/2 have taken responsibility for the planting tubs at the back of the school. They were very overgrown with weeds and enormous jaggy nettles and needed some serious TLC. The children spent Wednesday afternoon making a start on weeding the boxes. The children worked very hard and it was great to see them working together, sharing space, resources and all getting stuck in. They were also very excited to find

✂️ P4’s stained glass Fact Families Art’ 🖼!👏🏻

Primary 4 have been working really hard to learn their multiplication and division facts for the 7 times table! It’s a tricky one so we decided to create  our very own ‘Fact Families’ Art to help remind us that if you KNOW 1 fact, you actually KNOW 4   ✅ Well done Primary 4! I absolutely love your stained glass window ‘FACT FAMILIES’ Art! 😁

P1/2 Sunflowers

The children have been caring for their sunflowers at home and haven’t they been doing a wonderful job? They are growing very tall and a few even have a bud forming at the top.  Some children didn’t have success with their first seeds so they have planted new ones and are watching them grow.   I can’t wait to see them when they start to bloom. Well done everyone.

Caterpillars in P2 – Days 6 to 9

All the caterpillars have changed into a cocoon. (Adam) During days 6 to 9 the caterpillars are going through lots of changes inside the chrysalis. In numeracy, they have been learning lots of the times tables and enjoyed

P2 Solo Talks 👏

A huge congratulations to all the pupils in P2 as they confidently spoke for 1 minute about a famous Scot as part of their homework task.  I was blown away by your research and creativity preparing your own drawings or informative PowerPoints.  Thanks to all the people at home for supporting you in achieving this. Well done! 🙂

Surprise Visitors to P2! 🐛🐛

Primary 2 had a wonderful surprise arriving into class on Thursday.  We had 8 hungry caterpillars!  We are going to be observing the changes they go through and writing about their life cycle. It was amazing because our class got to look after caterpillars. (Penny and Harry) They are brown and furry. (Eve) I was so surprised! (Theo)
