Last week, Primary 4 conducted a traffic survey on Old Edinburgh Road as part of their learning in relation to Information Handling for Maths. The road doesn’t look that busy in these photos but there were actually lots of different colours of cars to count, even Flynn’s mum’s! We now know that when we are doing a survey we need to concentrate really well so that our results are accurate.

Today our French Champions learned about drinks in French. We played a pairs game, noughts and crosses and pass the parcel to reinforce our learning. We’re ready to teach others in our class.
Today Primary 3 carried out their practical science investigation to discover what might affect how quickly a solid dissolves in water. Each child chose their own variable which they wanted to investigate. Some chose to change the type of solid, others chose the amount of water and some chose to change the amount of solid. To make the test fair all the other variables had to stay the same. We
Huge thank you to Margaret from Guide Dog Scotland, who kindly took the time to visit Primary 4 today with her adorable Guide Dog puppy Amy! Primary 4 thoroughly enjoyed learning about the phenomenal work involved in training Guide Dogs and the process involved in matching them with their new owners. 🐾🐶 An excellent afternoon to complete our ‘Caring’ topic. ❤
P5 had loads of fun learning some Michael Jackson moves which they then used to create their own sequence of steps. They danced to THRILLER and worked very well in their small groups. Check out their moves!

Yesterday Sarah, Sophie and Zara delivered a presentation to the whole school at assembly. This was to inform all pupils about our journey towards becoming a Rights Respecting School. They showed a video clip, shared information and presented a power point about different beliefs. The girls worked very hard preparing for this and did an excellent job. Well done and thank you!
