This week the French Champions were introduced to some French foods in preparation for having a French Cafe later in the year. Children enjoyed playing bingo, pictionary and noughts and crosses to reinforce their learning of the new vocabulary. They also started a words of the month wall, concentrating on manners this month. Over the last couple of weeks Primary 6 have participated in a wide variety of healthy activities. This term Miss Hesford has helped us learn more about healthy eating and hygiene in the kitchen. Last week, we hosted parents and grandparents for our second open morning of the year. It was a very busy place and there were lots of different activities for the children to try in their classes. Some classes were learning new knowledge and skills in Literacy, some were learning in Numeracy, P7 were involved in inter-disciplinary learning and P6 were demonstrating their artistic skills.

Here are Primary 3 showing us their new skills in volleyball. The children have been learning the overhead throw and underarm toss as well as getting into the ‘ready to play’ position. Fantastic work Primary 3!
P4-7 participated in a drama workshop this afternoon delivered by Takeaway Productions. Pupils enjoyed watching a very important production about the concept of bullying and then took part in a workshop afterwards to discuss the content and think about how the story ends. Some pupils in Primary 2 have been learning about where in our mouths different sounds come from. This is helping us to improve our reading and spelling. Today we enjoyed jumping in the colour hoops, sorting alphabet flashcards and magnetic letters into the correct colour hoop then using them to build our own words. Well done Primary 2!
