Robbie is originally from Saltcoats in Ayrshire but moved to Edinburgh where he studied Divinity, his first period of study having been in Social Sciences at what is now Glasgow Caledonian University. He was ordained in 1995 serving in Irvine Relief Parish Church before moving to The New Wellwynd Parish Church, Airdrie in 2001.

School Chaplaincyhas always been an important part of his ministry and he has enjoyed serving as School Chaplain since coming to Airdrie in 2001 and has seen the expansion as a great blessing.

He is married to Carol, has a son Daniel, enjoys music (playing and listening) and travelling!
