December’s article is Article 19 (protection from violence, abuse and neglect)

During the month of December pupils will be learning about consent, gender-based violence and prejudice-based bullying.

In PSHE lessons pupils will be learning about HBT (Homophobic, Biphobic and Transphobic) bullying. PC Wandrum will be speaking to classes about hate based violence and misogyny. This will tie in with the 16 Days of Action Against Gender Based Violence which is an international campaign that runs from November 25th (the United Nations Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to December 10th (Human Rights Day) and encourages action and awareness against all forms of violence against women and girls.
