St Bernadette's

Bright Day

We had a great day in St Bernadette’s on Friday when our Junior Road Safety Committee held a Bright Day event.  They presented an excellent assembly and hosted lots of workshops showing how to stay safe on bikes, in cars and as pedestrians.  Everyone looked great in their bright clothes and £155 was raised for the Brake Charity.  Well done everyone.

Our P6 & P7 pupils also did very well at the football festival.  They looked terrific wearing the new strips supplied by the PTA.  We are very grateful for all the fundraising efforts of the PTA which allowed them to donate £1200 to the school fund.  This has been used for new track suits and a dishwasher as well as the football strips.

Next week we are looking forward to our sponsored walk and climb on Tinto Hill.  This event will hopefully help us to finance summer outings to Ayr for P1-6 and M & Ds for P7.  We are also hoping to have some money left over to further develop our school grounds next session.
