Whilst learning about Scotland Primary 4 had the opportunity to make some yummy shortbread of their own. They had to learn how to read from a recipe, measure out ingredients and combine them together to make a dough. Thwy worked in groups and all had a turn doing all of the jobs. The dinner ladies very kindly baked the shortbread in the oven and in the afternoon the boys and girls got to sample some of their delicious creations alongside some other traditional Scottish foods.
