On Tuesday February 27 we are hosting an event for all parents of next years’ S4, S5 and S6 pupils.
In a change to previous events we are having subject discussions and presentations from staff and year heads in a variety of venues.
Subject specific stalls will be set up in the yellow and green social areas. There will also be stalls in this area for university representatives, Developing The Young Workforce Ambassadors and Online Payment facilitators.
In addition there will also be a programme of 15 minute showcases from several departments running throughout the event, and 2 half-hour workshops each in Hospitality and Cake Craft.
The theatre will be used to give presentations on the option forms for each year group at the following times.

Fabulous turnout from S1 pupils and their parents for our Welcome Mass on Thursday Sept 28. Thanks to our Caritas group and our associate primary Head Teachers for also coming along. Fr Thomas celebrated mass and the new S1 sang beautifully during the candle lit service – well done.
On Friday Sept 29 the PE department organised our S1 to S3 Cross Country Competition. Well done to all our pupils who took part and to our seniors who used excellent leadership skills to ensure the smooth running of the event.
The rain stopped long enough for our fabulous competitors to have the 1st sports day on the new MUGA pitch.

On Friday we celebrated the beginning of our 40th Anniversary year with the opening of our MUGA pitch. The pupils gathered to make up the number 40 before showcasing their sporting talents.
S1. Assemble in the red social area where Mrs Murray and your guides will meet you for registration before setting off to the theatre for a welcome presentation.
S2 – S4. Follow your timetable issued in June, replacement timetables can be picked up from the office throughout the day (Don’t all go at once)
S5 – S6. New timetables can be picked up from the office throughout the day. Attend the classes on your timetable unless you have already completed a re-coursing interview. Sign up appointment sheets are available for S5 with Mrs McDade and S6 with Mrs McGhee.

The S2 Parents’ Evening is on Tuesday 16 May from 4pm until 6.30pm. S2 pupils were issued with their appointment sheets last week. We look forward to seeing you there.
S1 Enterprise classes have been inviting their parents to attend coffee shops in Snap Dragon this week. The pupils plan, prepare and serve all the sandwiches, cakes, tea and coffee. Jobs include food preparation, dish washer filling, serving and front of house duties – all carried out in our professional kitchen and restaurant.
It’s fantastic to see so many parents and family members getting involved in the life of the school – Parental Involvement is so important to staff and pupils. Thank you.
