Playground Development

Following consultation with Parents, Staff, Pupils, Partners and in response to feedback from Education Scotland, it was agreed there required to be a development of the outdoor space at Loudoun-Montgomery.

Everyone took part and contributed to the plans.  The full process can be seen in the books in school.  Everyone was very excited as we were able to add new playground markings, zones for learning, a literacy shed, a gazebo, table top games, new playground equipment along with teaching resources.

We also purchased a bench in memory of Miss Hodge who had been a popular teacher at Loudoun-Montgomery but had sadly passed away in May 2018.

We were delighted to invite Miss Hodge’s family to formally open our playground on the 30th August 2019.

We were also very lucky to have a donation from Mrs Waddell’s mum in memory of her dad which allowed us to purchase the literacy area playground furniture.

We are very lucky at Loudoun-Montgomery to be so well supported.
