The Explorers Curriculum Outline Term 1 24.25
Term one in The Explorers, has been very busy and we have all settled well into our new class, making new friends and following class rules and routines. All of the Explorers are making excellent progress.
In Health and Wellbeing, we have been focussing on our emotions and are able to share our feelings with our peers. We have also been looking at different ways to regulate our feelings.
In Numeracy, some children have been working on number recognition and ordering numbers while others are working on 3,4 and 5 times tables. We have also been looking at weight, length and volume.
In Literacy, we like to share our news each week and write about this in our jotters. We have also been enjoying visits to our school library where we have the opportunity to relax and explore different texts.
This term, our topic has been ‘Houses and Communities’. The children have learned about different types of houses in the UK and around the world. We enjoyed outdoor learning where we counted how many different types of houses we could see in our community. This topic has been enjoyed by all.
The children have worked very hard this term and I am very proud of all of them!
