Term 1 Highlights

Maths Week Scotland

We enjoyed participating in Maths Week Scotland. We learned about 2D and 3D shapes and had great fun using a variety of shapes to make our own pictures.

Big Breakfast Event

We had a lovely morning with the Welby Breakfast Club sampling different healthy breakfasts. We were able to try a small pot of fruit, toast and banana and Weetabix. We also learned about the importance of a healthy breakfast and received a goody bag to take home.

Term 2 Highlights

This term we have been focusing on teamwork and have had lots opportunities to develop our teamwork skills in both the classroom and playground.

We participated in several team-building challenges where we learned to share, take turns and communicate with each other. We then applied these skills to develop an activity for the rest of the class to enjoy. These included, pin the tail on the cat, guess the number of coins in the jar, guess the bears birthday, a lucky dip and a drawing competition. We had great fun trying out each other’s activities and leading our own!
