We have had lots of Outdoor fun with Scavenger Hunts and Chalk Art.
October Upload
As part of our Electricity topic we researched how electricity is produced. We carried out an experiment that explored how water turbines work. We also used K’nex to create our own wind turbine.
We mixed paints to create a pictures of pylons in the sunset.
We had lots of fun in class with our Halloween games which included Skeleton Jenga, Pin the Tail on the Cat and Spider’s Web Splat.
November Upload
We have been super busy this month. In writing we have written descriptions of Electricity, Halloween and Autumn. We have been developing our comprehension skills through our Literature Circle novels.
We have developed skills in information handling. These include gathering, collating and presenting information on graphs.
We have been researching endangered animals from the Polar Regions. We created informative posters all about our animal.
We enjoyed exploring the forest and creating creatures using natural materials.
December Upload
P5 have had a busy December. We have written information reports about Inuits and Santa. We have also worked on measure including going on a Measure Scavenger Hunt.
As part of Outdoor Learning we created an amazing piece of festive art. Everyone designed their own Christmas bauble to from our super Christmas tree. In Technology, we used K’nex to design and build a vehicle for our class elf.
We enjoyed the coffee morning and the Pantomime was very entertaining. Everyone had lots of fun at the Christmas Party. We hope you all have a lovely Christmas and look forward to the New Year.
