Science Visit
Tim Dreyer, STEM expert, visited P6 to help us explore carbon emissions and the effects they are having on the climate, both positive and negative. We enjoyed a Steam Engine demo, and took a step back in time to look at the industrial revolution and the start of major carbon emissions. Then we explored the global impacts of climate change and Tim demonstrated how our oceans act as absorbers of heat. We then asked ‘Why is carbon dioxide useful?’ To answer this question we got to make our very own fire extinguishers.
