Welcome

As the Head Teacher of Moorfoor Primary School, Nursery Class and Garvel Deaf Centre, it brings me great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to you!

We are committed to achieving excellence in every aspect, aiming to be “5 star” in everything that we do. At Moorfoot Primary School, Nursery Class and Garvel Deaf Centre, all staff work together to create a safe community where pupils have a sense of value and belonging. Each member of staff is committed to developing pupils as successful learners, responsible citizens, confident individuals and effective contributors. We endeavour to equip our pupils with the skills and attributes which will enable them to lead fulfilling and healthy lives in the 21st Century, with the capacity to make the best life choices and decisions. Every child at our school is special. All children are encouraged to develop positive attitudes towards learning and show care and respect for themselves and other people. We aim to “get it right for EVERY child” in our care.

We hope that the content of our handbook (which is published in useful documents on the right hand side of the screen) and details on this website, will explain many aspects of life in our school. If you have any questions, however, please feel free to discuss them with us.

We would like to welcome you into our school community and look forward to working with you and your child in the future.
