Training this week was good

Bield Hall

On Thursday p7 went to the Bield Hall to do some activities. Some of the activities were; The Climbing Wall, Drama and Sports. In Drama we did sharp  moves to music. In sports we played games like hospital tig and toilet tig and some of us went on the climbing wall.

Also in Drama we chose partners and made sharp moves together to make a machine, then we got into a group of 4 to make a bigger machine, next time we go we will be getting into groups of 8.

In sports we got in a circle and said our first name and our favourite sport after that was tig and then wink murder followed by duck, duck goose and skoosh splat.

On Wednesday we had our hockey tournament at Castlehead High School. We were split into 7 teams with 8 players in each team. The navy blues, sky blues, oranges, yellows, greens, reds and the non bibs. The yellow’s came first but it was just a friendly. We  had lots of fun and can’t wait to go to high school!

Bye from Sophie, Kiera and Rebecca

Halloween poem

Happy children having Halloween parties

Apples coated in toffee

Little dogs dressed up as hotdogs

Little children dressed up as cute cartoons

Opening the door to little trick-or-treater’s

Wolves howling at the moon

Evil sprits coming to haunt you

Evil demons waking the land

New Halloween costumes every year

Here’s the final update on the partnership work with Mrs. Dalgleish’s wonderful Primary 5 class, at Law Primary School in East Lothian. After bated breath, the wind got up enough strength allowing us to complete our exploration of aerial photography. The sun shone, we went outdoors & finally flew the kite aerial photography kit. See how we fared by browsing through the gallery below.

During an InSET session yesterday Law Primary School staff had a presentation detailing the full project. It was agreed that the class had achieved their learning intentions & much more besides.

  • I will be able to use Scran confidently to research a topic
  • I will have a better understanding of aerial photography
  • I will help to curate & create an exhibition

You can download the attached CfE learning experiences & outcomes for the project.

Before signing off, we’d like to say a big Scran thank you to Mrs.Dalgleish and everybody in P5 who made this such a success!
