In Primary 1a, we have been learning all about welcoming a new-born baby into a family! We all had lots of suggestions for great babies’ names, but we could only choose one and so the name David was selected. We worked with a partner to think about some of the things a new-born baby would need which included a family, a pram, toys, milk and lots more ideas!
As part of our Health Week our Upper Primary classes completed their very own Race For Life. The raised a fantastic £106 for Cancer Research UK. Today all participants were awarded their Race For Life 2016 medals. Well done boys and girls! We are very proud of you all.
Look what arrived today! We are so excited to have received our Rookie Rockstar CD’s. For those who ordered a CD, your copies will be distributed tomorrow. Make sure to check in school bags when pupils return home. The final day to order a copy is Wednesday the 25th of May 2016.
Primary 3 have been working with coaches from A & M Dance over the last few weeks. This week we have been perfecting our dance tricks which will be incorporated into our dance routine.
We entered this competition during literacy week and decided to write about the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand at the beginning of World War 1. It was really difficult because we could only use 100 words but after lots of hard work and re-drafting we did it. 17 members of our class won the competition and will have their work published in a book!
When – Wednesday 8th June 2016 Time – 9.30am Where – Upper Gym Hall Primary 3 will be showcasing some of their learning at their class assembly. We look forward to seeing P3 parents and carers there.
Last week Miss Smith and some of the P7s took a trip to the allotment. We worked hard as a team to clear up some of the beds. It was hard work but what a difference in a few hours. Well done!
All arrived back safely from Ardentinny. Our pupils were a credit to the school. This experience will hopefully stay with them for many years to come, and will be an important memory from p7.
Primary 1a have been enjoying reading their new reading book this week. It was called The Toys’ Party. Their favourite part of the story was when Kipper was trying to make a birthday cake with tomato sauce and cornflakes!
