Stacey from Tesco’s Farm to Fork trail visited Primary 1’s this week to talk about healthy eating. They learned about different types of fruit and veg and explored where bananas come from. They learned how to peel a banana like a monkey and taste it. Thank you Stacey for taking the time to visit us.
Primary 2 have really enjoyed all the planned activities that they have taken part in this week as part of our Health Week. They particularly enjoyed our community litter pick and fitness with Jo our Active Schools Coordinator. Here are some pictures of them enjoying themselves.
This week Primary 4 visited our local Tesco to take part in the Farm to Fork trail. The boys and girls learned more about where food comes from and how its gets to the shops and then onto our plates. We had a fantastic time at Zumba during our Health Week. We would like to say a big thank you to Carole our Zumba instructor who got us moving and grooving and learning some new moves. Even our dinner ladies joined in.
We have had a fantastic week at Wake Up Shape Up. The turnout has been brilliant. Pupils and staff were left feeling energised and ready for the day of hard work ahead. Wake Up Shake Up Wednesdays will start on Wednesday the 24th of May at 8.30am. All pupils, parents and carers are welcome.

This week is Health Week at Balornock Primary. We will be focusing all our learning on a range of health matters including stranger danger, summer sun safety, internet safety, physical and emotional health and sexual health and relationships. Classes throughout the school will have the opportunity participate in increased physical activity during Health Week including a local walk and taster sessions in Zumba, Football, Boxing and Orienteering. Today in Primary 2 we went on a local walk to Springburn Park. We wanted to get some fresh air and some exercise. Huge congratulations to our Term 3 house winners – FORTH! All the boys and girls were absolutely over the moon to find out they had won for the second term in a row!! To celebrate, they had a fun-packed afternoon at an Easter Disco! During this, they danced, played games, had snacks and even had the chance to get the face painted!
