Throughout our topic on India we have been looking at and creating our own art influenced by Indian artwork. We decided to create our own Mehndi patterns. They are used in celebrations. We got so good we even painted our designs on hands at the Christmas Fayre last Friday. Our talented artists Dharryl, Ellie , Del and Ellie were very busy the whole afternoon. We used real Henna to
As part of our topic on India, we have been creating some beautiful Mehndi designs. People in India decorate their skin with these detailed designs as part of various celebrations such as weddings and festivals. We are having a practice before we sell our artwork at the Christmas Fayre this Friday. We will be using facepaint to draw them on to your hands instead of the traditional Henna. 50p a
We were very lucky to get a fantastic visit from some real members of Glasgow’s professional Ice Hockey team, The Braehead Clan! They had lots of advice on how to become a professional sportsperson and even more gory stories of broken bones and ice skate injuries! Primary 7 have been showing their responsible, caring and generous side, by giving up some of their lunch time to give other classes a wee treat. This week Poppy and Eilidh started their Primary 2 Art Club for children who have been working super hard in class. The girls organised a fantastic craft activity that P2 absolutely loved!
