P4 Inside Maths!?

We have been learning about different ways to show information like Carroll Diagrams and bar charts. We even made a human Carroll diagram: We chose where to stand  depending on whether we were a boy/girl and aged 7/aged 8 Bar charts are tricky so we are trying different ones to get some practice, even smarties can be organised in a graph!!  

Art Club is back!!

What a lot of talented, creative kids we have at Balornock. We had a great time at the first art club this year! Here’s what we were up to: We got nice and messy shading with chalk pastels to make our snowmen look cold and 3D. They look amazing!!! Well done Art Club! Can’t wait for next week!

P4 meet Duncan from the RSNO

This week we had a visitor to our class. His name was Duncan. He plays the clarinet in the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. He taught us about the vibrations that instruments make. Dia de los Muertos en P4

Here’s what we learned this week….. Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican festival starting on Halloween. It means day of the Dead!!!! We made masks to celebrate it. Mexicans dress up too. They put out things that the people who have died liked when they were alive. The spirits visit. The children come back on the first day, the adults , the next day. Mexicans leave food out for them
