This week we have been working super hard on recognising our phonic sounds and blending these to read words. We have continued our reading development with activities and are making great progress.

We have also been working hard to develop and extend our sentence with description using our Mighty Writer resource.

In music we were learning about keeping the pulse or beat of a song and recognising fast/slow and higher/lower with some tuned percussion instruments.
In numeracy and maths we have continued exploring ways to make or stories of numbers and focusing on our number bonds to 10 and extending these to 20.
We have also been looking at 2D and 3D shapes, learning how to recognise these by their properties.

We have enjoyed our soft starts with construction, literacy, numeracy and junk glueing tasks. During each of these we are working to develop our problem solving, communication and supporting each other skills.
