A great week for P5/6/7!

On Wednesday we went to the Fife Athletics Festival and had a brilliant time! The class did really well and were able to apply their learning from PE lessons to compete in lots of track and field events against different schools in Fife. Well done to all who took part!

We continued our learning of newspaper reports and applied this when writing a report about the Grinch stealing Christmas from North Queensferry! We were also continuing our Mr Men comic strips, using our learning about emotion works to create a story.

This week, we learned and practised a new Scottish Country Dance and are excited to share these with families next week.

In numeracy, we consolidated our learning of column strategy for subtraction and moved on to applying this learning to complete word problems. Our science learning this week was focused on magnetic forces. We learned about the different poles and how these can attract or repel each other. We investigated how magnets work in real life by testing them around the classroom and feeling the magnets attract or repel another magnet.
