Well, another busy week has passed in Primary 3/4/5! We have been learning about money this week and exploring different currencies from a variety of countries, such as Ukraine, China, Hong Kong, Norway , America and Uzbekistan. It has great to see similarities and compare the value of currencies with ours. We have learned that there are exchange rates and that some currencies can have notes with 50000 on them but be worth only a few pound in our home currency.
In literacy we have been practising our spelling and enjoyed using the shaving foam and cutting up squares and rectangles of paper to build our words. We have been discussing and sharing the strategies we use when we are reading and spelling. That was a very interesting discussion!
Mrs Waugh was helping us understand the difference between fiction and non-fiction and we have been using non-fiction books to take notes for our mini east fact files.
We were lucky to have Mrs Scouller teach us more about our emotions, through our yellow cog, and help us identify some Positive Triggers to some of these emotions.
We have enjoyed another week of meeting new people and welcoming them to our class.
