This week has been Maths Week Scotland so P1/2/3 have been learning about a variety of different aspects of maths. We have been learning how to estimate an amount and understanding what a sensible estimate might be. We have been learning about shape artists such as Kandinsky and we created art using basic shapes. We have also been using ICT to show lines on symmetry within different types of shapes.

In literacy we have been continuing to write newspaper report with a focus on adding as much detail as possible. P1 have been learning their ‘o’, ‘u’ and ‘l’ sounds.

In our topic work we learned about rovers that humans have sent to Mars. We recreated our own rovers using Knex and tested them out in class on a similar rocky terrain to Mars.
