This week in Maths and Numeracy we have been learning about division and making links to our previous learning with multiplication. We are using the skills and knowledge gained to apply to this new learning through table top activities and independent enquiry. We have also been learning about position and movement in addition to some data handling.

In Literacy we are exploring how to develop writing and using the main events of a storyline to identify and sequence  plot. We have used our class novel of James and The Giant Peach for this. Next week we will be creating our own plot using our Story Mountain strategy.

We enjoyed working with the P5/6/7 class this week to develop drama and explore Freeze Frames. This was a lot of fun and everyone worked well in their mixed group situations. There were some extremely creative depictions!

In P.E. we have completed our Fitness topic and are now exploring ball skills and team games through hockey.

Our new project is Ancient Egypt with a focus on the Egyptians. We have enjoyed researching images and decorating our project jotters and sparking our interest to see what we want to learn.

Another busy week for us and we look forward to continuing our learning next week.
