Welcome to P7a we have 30 children in our class this year and our teacher is Miss Collins. We have created our UNCRC class charter and want our classroom to be a safe and happy place.
We are focusing on our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Honesty and showing these every day in our classroom and around the school.
Mr Cardus and Mrs Johnston take our for non class contact time and their focus will be mental maths and maths topics.
Our PE day is a Wednesday and we hope to do some outdoor learning before we head off to Ardroy.

iPad Information
Parent/Carer Guide to Jamf – set up your family controls of the school iPads.
All children/adults have agreed to have their iPad each day with them in school as this is an additional learning tool. Please ensure iPads are fully charged overnight at home and no chargers are brought into the school building.

2026/7 – Please continue to focus on your MULTIPLICATION TABLES. Even if your child knows all 12 ,the high school would like us to work on is quicker recall. At home could children download a free app on their device or go onto www.topmarks.co.uk and play Hit the Button.
Focus on the table they are least confident with and try and beat their own score! If they did 5 minutes a day on their tables that would be fantastic.

HOMEWORK – Reading homework – 4/9/26 – Read for enjoyment as we are carrying out reading assessments our reading groups are not set up at present.
Reading homework, Reciprocal Reading Task plus set pages. Reading will be issued on a Friday and returned the following Friday. Please note – ALL READING BOOKS SHOULD BE IN THE CHILD/REN’s BAGS EVERYDAY as we will also use these in class for various literacy tasks. It is their responsibility to make sure they have them each day.

GLOW
All children will be logging into GLOW in class and will have their passwords reset. (if required, they will be choosing something they will remember).
Getting practice at logging in and out of GLOW will support them on their transition journey to high school.
SMOKING/VAPING
In class we have been learning about the dangers of vaping and sharing the Government’s new campaign aimed at 10-16 year olds.
