We have 30 pupils in our class.
PE
Mr Cardus will take the class for PE on a Monday. Please come to school in your PE kit every Monday. PE lessons take place both indoors and outdoors so please remember to dress appropriately for the weather.
HOMEWORK – Due 21.9.26
This will be set on a Wednesday and will be due to be returned the following Monday. Check the website each week for more information regarding homework.
If anyone has any spare Christmas wrapping paper from last year could your child please bring it in? We do not need full rolls but just odd pieces that can be cut into circles for the Christmas card designs.
Reading was sent home on Wednesday to be completed by Monday. All pupils should have their book and reading records in their bags.
Spelling until Christmas will be in the purple booklet. Each week pupils will get a spelling list home and can choose one of the activities from the purple book to complete on the sheet provided. Pupils can hand the sheet in when it is full on both sides for marking. Peach sheets will be provided as required.
LEARNING REVIEW
Yesterday (Thursday) we did Graffiti writing during our Learn With Us session. We learned that Graffiti is illegal and considered an act of vandalism. We focused on shading and we researched some street artists. Street Art is not illegal and is usually done on a wall or the side of a building.
In ICT we were making a PowerPoint about a famous Scottish person as part of our Scotland VS France topic. The other half of the class were logging into Glow and changing their passwords.
In P.E we were still working on baton relay races. We ran around the pitch and practiced passing the baton to the person in front of us using the correct technique which can be challenging.
In handwriting we were focusing on descenders. Descenders are y, p, j, g and q. To practice our descenders we wrote the poem called ‘On the Ning Nang Nong’ by Spike Milligan. It had lots of descenders!
The photos below are pictures of the class enjoying an outdoor spelling lesson. It was such a lovely day that we took our spelling outside. The other photos are when we were completing our Scottish historical landmark posters.
