Welcome to P4! We are a class of 33 pupils and our teacher is Mrs Lowis.
For information – P.E will be taught every Tuesday by Mr Cardus and gym kit is to be worn to school. Mr Cardus will also be teaching French to the class on a Wednesday.
Homework – homework will be given out on Wednesdays and is to be completed for the following Monday. Reading books and reading records will come home in a folder. One other piece of homework from across the curriculum will also be set.
Reading for pleasure – we have a class library and any books brought in from home can be kept in individual trays. We will be continuing our focus on independent reading and choosing books.

Homework week beginning 31st August 2026
In class, we have been testing four different forces – tension, shear, torsion and compression. For homework, children are welcome to test these forces against objects or items at home and have a think about the following questions:
What force was the object weak against?
What force was the object strong against?
Would this be a good material for building a bridge?
They will be given the opportunity to share any findings in class.
