A very warm welcome to Masterton Primary School. We are delighted that you have taken the time to visit our website and hope it gives you a flavour of our vibrant, caring and inclusive school community.
Located in the Eastern Expansion of Dunfermline, Masterton Primary School first opened its doors in November 2006 with just five classes. Over the years, our school has grown alongside the local community and is now home to around 430 pupils across 16 classes from Primary 1 to Primary 7.
Our modern, single-storey school provides a bright and engaging learning environment. Primaries 1 to 4 are based in one teaching wing, while Primaries 5 to 7 are accommodated in another. An extension completed in 2021 provides additional learning spaces for our younger learners, and we also benefit from a gym hall, music room, library areas and a variety of flexible spaces that support learning across the curriculum.
Beyond the classroom, our extensive grounds offer children plenty of opportunities to play, explore and learn outdoors. A large playing field, climbing wall, gymnastic equipment and outdoor learning spaces help promote active, healthy lifestyles and enriching learning experiences.
We recognise that successful education is built on strong partnerships. We are proud of our positive relationships with families and our commitment to an open-door approach. Parents and carers are valued as key partners in their child’s learning journey, and we welcome opportunities to work together to support every child to thrive.
Our school is also fortunate to have the ongoing support of our Parent Council and our dedicated Parent Teacher Association, FROMPS (Friends of Masterton Primary School), whose enthusiasm and commitment help strengthen our school community.
As a nut-free school, we kindly ask families to support us by ensuring snacks and packed lunches do not contain nuts or nut products, helping us keep all of our children safe.
