It was announced by the Minister for Children and Families, Natalie Dow, at the Promise Scotland Stories for Change Conference on the 5th February 2024, that Benarty Primary was the first school in Scotland to achieve the Promise Scotland Schools Award. This award is earned by working to support care experienced children in a variety of different ways.
