To qualify for a school clothing grant and/or free school meals/milk, you must receive at least one of the following benefits:

• Income Support
• Job Seekers Allowance (income-based)
• Employment and support allowance (income-related)
• Child Tax Credit only (total income below £16,105)
• Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit (total income below £7,500)
• Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
• Universal Credit – including those with take-home pay of up to £625 per month
• Long Term Incapacity Benefit (School clothing grant only)
• Widow’s Allowance – if not in full-time employment (School clothing grant only)
• Child and Working Tax Credit with annual income below £16,105 (School clothing grant only)

You will be asked to upload a copy of an award letter as evidence of the benefits you receive. These will be separate uploads for each benefit.

However, if you already receive Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax Reduction, these records will be used to determine your entitlement, therefore you will not need to upload evidence of the benefits you receive.
