The nursery session times are from: 9am – 3pm

Routines and consistency are important, this help children to feel safe and secure. Throughout your child’s time at nursery they will learn about routines such as handwashing, snack and tidying up.

Children stay for lunch at nursery, our children access the school dinner hall and each day a few children help to set up the tables with tablecloths and flowers. Some children benefit from staying in the playroom at lunchtime and this is also facilitated.

A daily snack is provided for all children in the nursery aimed at establishing healthy eating habits and extending learning experiences. A member of staff on snack that day will be responsible for setting up snack, milk is also available for all children along with daily fruit. Children will be encouraged to learn the snack time routine which will be supported by staff members.

Throughout the year children will also have opportunities to try and experience new foods. Children will be involved in choosing snacks/fruit, going to the shops to buy these, ordering on line, creating shopping lists etc…
