VOLUNTEERING ACHIEVEMENT

Congratulations to Sophie in P7 who today received the Callanish Youth Award for Achievement in Volunteering. Along with her friend Mary, Sophie cycled from Tong to Tolsta to raise funds for Cancer Research. Well done Sophie. Hopefully this will be the start of a life filled with volunteering achievements.

TCDL PRESENTATION OF BOOK TOKENS

The school was very pleased to receive a visit from the TCDL Committee on Wednesday 13th December 2017. The Committee came to present a £20 book token to every child in the school for Christmas. We are most grateful to TCDL for their generosity towards our pupils and hope that all the children will enjoy choosing new books with their tokens.

BLYTHSWOOD SHOEBOX ASSEMBLY

We were absolutely delighted to have Rhona Matheson from Blythswood in Sgoil a’ Bhac on Wednesday 11th October 2017 for a joint Assembly with Sgoil a’ Bhac and Tolsta Primary School. Rhona came to tell us all about the Shoebox Appeal for this year.

Shoebox leaflets were distributed to all pupils earlier in the month and already we are seeing them coming in. Please have your shoeboxes in school by Friday 3rd November 2017
