Literacy and English
Archie – In Literacy and English we read a text called Jake’s Shadow and we had to answer different questions about it.
Eva – In Writing, we wrote about the best part of ourselves and took pictures. They are on our classroom wall.
Numeracy and Mathematics
Olly – In Numeracy and Mathematics we played mental maths games outside like Exterminate and Times Table Lightning.
Harry Fo – In Numeracy and Mathematics we did group stations and we were allowed to complete different activities. My favourite was the board games table. I won 2 games of Times Table Lightning!
Outdoor Learning
Ruby – In Outdoor Learning, we had to draw what our grassy outdoor area currently looks like and then draw what we want it to look like and what changes we could make. We got to write down what we want to learn and what sustainable equipment we would like.
Sophia – In Outdoor Learning, we were asked to make one of our ideas for the area using what we already have to see what we still need. My friends and I started to make a bench and we used lots of planks. Other people built a role play fort and mud kitchen, a quiet den and a seesaw.
Callum – In Outdoor Learning, Harry and I built a den with a roof to show our creativity.
French
Mehr – In French we were walking around the classroom and having conversations with one another. We also played a game “who said bonjour”.
Ayan – In French we sang a song.
Zunairah – We learned how to say “my name is”, “and you?”, “what is your name?”, “hi”, “hello”, “goodbye” and “see you later”. We showed everyone our conversation.
Expressive Arts
Chloe – In Art we learned about shading with a pencil. We were learning how to vary the tone from light to dark using different pressure.
Mehr – In Art we used our new shading skills to sketch different types of weather.
Health and Wellbeing
John – In PE we played a game of Land, Sea and Air which was lead by our Sports Leader Olly. Then we played some rounders and it was a draw against both teams. We also played chaos tig.
Hishaam – On Tuesday with Mr McMillan we played a lot of tennis. I found it easy because I know how to play tennis. We practised bouncing balls on the rackets.
