- Children have a ‘moving on’ session in June where they get to visit their new classroom and spend time with their new teacher(s) working on transition-focussed activities.
- Some children with identified needs may require additional support for transition such as ‘transition passports’ and additional time for orientation activities eg visits to new classroom/ entrance/ toilets, etc
- In the final term, all receiving teachers are timetabled to meet with the ‘handing on’ teacher and pupil transition information such as attainment, achievement, pastoral and health & wellbeing matters are discussed on an individual basis, using the school’s reporting format.
