Go Safe East Ren

Go Safe East Ren  road safety campaign

The campaign will highlight a number of key issues as the council aims to make roads across the area safer.

The campaign will include a focus on:

  • pedestrian distractions such as wearing headphones and using mobile phones near roads
  • pedestrian safety in the dark winter months
  • inappropriate and inconsiderate parking and driving near our schools
  • promotion of active travel to school

Delivered in partnership with Police Scotland, the campaign will build on the significant programme of active travel advice and activity already being delivered across schools.

It will also build on the work already carried out by pupils who are Junior Road Safety Officers and by Road Safety Assistants, many of whom are parents.
